The Connoisseur
Romeo Ripoli
Meet Romeo, a bilingual Italian language teacher from Edmonton with deep Italian roots and a lifelong love for the language.
In the late '90s, Romeo returned to his family’s homeland and spent several years living in Milan, reconnecting with his heritage and falling even more in love with the city’s rhythm, language, and culture.
Fluent in Italian, Romeo taught Italian at the university level as an instructor at UBC in Vancouver and also worked as a simultaneous translator for the Manitese World Outreach Program in Milan. Living Languages combines his teaching expertise with his insider knowledge of Milan to offer immersive language classes in the city he considers a second home. He’s known for bringing his lessons to life with cultural insights, historical tidbits, and a true sense of fun. He's the kind of teacher who adds those unforgettable extras that make the language click.
Romeo is also passionate about gelato and chances are you’ll find him on a nightly mission to discover the best scoop in town. Through intimate, guided experiences, Romeo helps travelers truly connect with Italian culture, one phrase (and one gelato) at a time.
